At the annual session of the Alabama-West Florida Conference the Commission on Archives and History sponsors a commemoration service to remember those who have died during the conference year. Following the service the Commission arranges for a luncheon for members of the families.

At the 2009 annual conference session we will remember those who have died from May 1, 2008-April 30, 2009. The April deadline is so that members of the families can be contacted to get information for memoirs to be published in the journal and to receive invitations to attend the service and luncheon.
